Successful defense of the dissertation by Dr.-Ing. Jan Lukas Storck

On 28.02.2024, Dr.-Ing. Jan Lukas Storck defended his dissertation "Automation of crochet technology and development of a prototype machine for the production of complex-shaped textiles", which was developed as part of a cooperation between the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden and the Research on Materials for Functional Textiles and 3D printing (MTex³) working group at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences.
The doctorate was supervised by Prof. Kyosev (ITM) and Prof. Ehrmann (MTex³). Prof. Paetzold-Byhain (Institute of Machine Elements and Machine Design) acted as an additional reviewer, Prof. Cherif (ITM) was an assessor and Prof. Pfifer (Institute of Aerospace Engineering) chaired the examination board.
