Successful defense of the dissertation by Dr.-Ing. Mathis Bruns
On January 15, 2026, Dr.-Ing. Mathis Bruns defended his dissertation "Intrinsically Conductive Polymer Fibers for Actuator and Sensor Applications: Development and characterization", which he wrote at the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) at TU Dresden, under the chairmanship of Prof. Nils Modler (Vice-Rector Academic Affairs Across the Life Course, TU Dresden).

The doctoral thesis was reviewed by Prof. Chokri Cherif (ITM) and Prof. Gert Heinrich (Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e.V., TU Dresden, ITM). Prof. Kyosev (ITM) and Prof. Gerlach (Institute of Solid State Electronics, IFE) accompanied the doctoral procedure as assessors.
