COSMO Science Forum "Dr. Future - Medical Technology from Dresden Science" - the ITM presents current projects
From October 1, 2024, the COSMO Science Forum in the Kulturpalast Dresden will be showing the new exhibition "Dr. Zukunft - Medizintechnik aus der Dresdner Wissenschaft". Scientists from Dresden's research institutions will present their current projects and offer an interactive journey into the future of medicine.
The "Dr. Future" exhibition shows how continuous research and innovation can improve people's quality of life and save lives. From prevention and diagnosis to surgery, the exhibition highlights the advances in medical technology made possible by the collaboration between engineering and medicine. With their inventions, Dresden scientists are helping to develop new treatment options that are used both in everyday life and in medical facilities.
Visitors to the exhibition can find out, for example, how artificial intelligence will support medical diagnosis in the future, what new types of implants are made from textiles and how new medical tests are created. A real ultrasound device, a digital nose and surgical equipment for the public to try out for themselves await. The researchers present their projects in an entertaining way: with interactive exhibits, science comics, videos and games.
The exhibition is aimed at science enthusiasts aged 12 and over. It is free of charge and can be visited from Tuesday to Thursday from 13:00 to 18:00.
