ILK and Carbon Nexus agree on long-term cooperation

During the Carbon Fiber Futures Conference, ILK scientists led by PD Dr. Robert Böhm visited Carbon Nexus in Australia. The researchers exchanged information with their Australian colleagues on topics such as carbon fiber production technologies and modeling, as well as on intensified cooperation and exchange of experts and students.

The focus of the discussions was on new fibres, carbon fibre production technologies, nanoscale resolved characterisation of carbon fibres and fibre matrix adhesion. The meeting of the carbon fibre experts on 20.02.2019 on the fringes of the conference dealt with the industrialisation of Southeast Asia in a full-day exchange of "workshop" character. This exchange culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which laid the foundation for long-term cooperation with Deakin University Melbourne.
