Equal Care Day on March 1 focuses on the unequal distribution of care work and draws attention to the challenges of balancing work/study and family life. In order to support parents in their mobility, the TUD offers funding for children under the age of 18 to travel abroad for study, research or work-related stays.

Eligibility conditions:

Members and relatives of the TUD with child(ren) under the age of 18 can apply for a lump sum for travel expenses of the child/children or the caregiver or childcare costs/school fees abroad.

The amount of the lump sum depends on the duration of the stay abroad:

• up to one month: €500
• up to three months: €1,000
• from three months: € 1,500

Important information on the application:

An application can be submitted at any time, but no later than four weeks before the start of the trip. The application must be completed, signed and sent together with the complete documents (proof of associate member of TU Dresden, birth certificate(s) of the child/children under 18 years of age, proof of the stay abroad) in a PDF document to .
