25 Years of Dialogue with the Industry
“We ARE transfer.” That is how editors of the Dresden Transfer Bulletin entitle the latest issue. And they have indeed lived transfer for 25 years now – by providing innovative and application-oriented research results for an interested audience.
In their anniversary edition, the community of publishers brings together various stakeholders from the area of transfer and put their expertise in the spotlight. “We are competent when it comes to transfer”, explains Dr. Günter Bruntsch, president of the Dresden Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in the editorial, and points out the performance of the excellently networked transfer scene. At the Dresden University of Excellence, the Transfer Office is the central point of contact for all transfer matters. In close cooperation with numerous stakeholders from the DRESDEN-concept research alliance, the Centre of Production Engineering and Management CIMTT, the start-up initiative dresden|exists, HighTech Startbahn and many other players, our experts support scientists with the safeguarding, commercialisation and exploitation of research results. They initiate cooperations with the industry, organise presentations at national and international fair trades…The TU Dresden Patent Information Centre is at your service when patent information is required or needs to be evaluated in a qualified way. Naturally, research also deals with the topic of transfer: Dr. Matthias Geissler, leader of the Junior Research Group “Knowledge and Technology Transfer” at TU Dresden provides insights into his research. University of Applied Science Dresden (HTW) grants a comprehensive look into their “Gründungsschmiede” [start-up factory] – Consulting Centre for Company Founding, and explain what it takes for the business plan to be successful.
