Femissage
Students from the TUD's Chair of Art Education exhibit their artistic work
Gallery of the Office for Academic Heritage Scientific and Art Collections in the Görges Building, Helmholtzstraße 9, 01069 Dresden
July 24 to August 28, 2026 (Mon-Fri, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) / Opening: Thursday, July 23, 2026, 6 p.m.
With the exhibition "Femissage", 21 female students of art education at TU Dresden present current artistic works that combine personal experiences with social issues. The works on display revolve around themes such as body images, identity, home, family, ideals of beauty, dealing with the environment and confronting social norms and expectations.
The exhibition opens up a polyphonic space for individual perspectives and biographical narratives. Personal experiences are combined with observations of everyday life and reflections on the conditions under which we live together. The works shown in the exhibition cover a broad spectrum of artistic forms of expression - painting, photography and collage as well as sculptural and media works. "Femissage" makes the diversity of artistic positions of a young generation visible and deals with current realities of life from different perspectives.
Artists: Verona Beyer, Anne-Christin Bryja, Anika Dorn, Vivien Elvers, Milena Friedländer, Amelie Gödicke, Annika Hellbach, Anna Jansen, Maria Lisa Junghans, Judith Katona, Hannah Sue Kleindienst, Anna Kluge, Kimi Krauspe, Mathilde Leder, Dorothee Linßner, Jennifer Pech, Jona Rohwerder, Noa Schäfer, Leonie Unglaube, Selina van der Valk and Lisanne Wedekind.
The exhibition will open on July 23, 2026 at 6 p.m. in the Gallery of the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections in the Görges Building at TU Dresden. DJ Clemse (Clemens Walther) will provide the musical accompaniment.
