Groundbreaking Projects by the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections at the Intersections of Art, Science, and Technology
Since 2016, the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections has been developing pioneering projects at the intersection of art, science, and technology in collaboration with artists and artistic collectives to address specific questions in dialogue with scientists. Through formats such as Art Science Labs, exhibitions, events, and artist residencies, it creates spaces for encounter, exchange, and reflection in the context of pressing contemporary discourses. In doing so, it explores, reflects on, and rethinks the relationships between artistic and scientific practice.
Through the Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden and S+T+ARTS Ec(h)o, the Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections is currently involved in two international programs that view artistic research as a catalyst for dialogue between art, science, and society. Artistic residencies facilitate close collaboration with researchers from the university and its partner institutions. This fosters new approaches to complex contemporary issues, interweaving scientific and artistic perspectives and exploring innovative forms of thinking, research, and outreach.
