The Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections is continuing its popular "Collection over Lunch" event series in the 2025 summer semester. Together with the collections officers, it invites TUD employees and students as well as interested members of the public to the university's collection rooms every second Thursday of the month at 12 noon. Short guided tours provide exciting and entertaining insights into the university's collections and the current use of historical teaching materials and exhibits.
Program change: Due to construction work, the guided tour of the Physical Equipment Collection has to be postponed until the winter semester. Instead, the Mathematical Models Collection will open to the public on April 10.
The program for the summer semester includes the Collection of Mathematical Models on 10 April 2025, the Color Research and Theory Collection on 8 May 2025 and the workshop of the conservator at the Office for Academic Heritage on 10 July 2025 . The collection officers and the scientific staff of the Institutes will guide visitors through their respective collections, show extraordinary objects and also present the current use of the historical teaching aids and exhibits.
