International students and employees often face additional problems that make it difficult to balance their private life and studies/job, or other forms of discrimination. For students
The International Office offers assistance with a wide range of questions and problems. First-semester international medical students and ERASMUS students can contact International Office branch at MF-TUD for guidance, advice, and help with problems. Your contact person is Ms Marlen Zumpe.
For employees, including doctoral candidates
The DRESDEN-concept Welcome Center team at TU Dresden supports international researchers and their families in planning and carrying out their research stay. You can find more information on their homepage. The DRESDEN concept Welcome Center at TU Dresden is also the first point of contact for information on German courses, events and making new friends.
For supporting non-clinical scientists or doctoral candidates in the fields of biomedicine and bioengineering (cand. Dr. rer nat.), the DIGS-BB International Office of the Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering is the first point of contact.

All official TUD documents, such as employment contracts, should be available in English. If you do not receive the translations automatically, please speak to your contact person in the administration. If the translation of a document is missing, it can be requested from Kathleen Fischer.
English and Russian translations of TUD documents, certificates, etc. can be requested here.
If you need a private interpreter for visits to the authorities, etc., you can find interpreters for over 30 languages at the Gemeindedolmetscherdienst Dresden.
The Helpline Dresden is a help hotline available around the clock for people with little or no knowledge of German. It is available at any time in English, Arabic and German. Offers help in emergencies and everyday orientation: 0351 850 75 222
