Call for Participation: Diversity Days 2026 - What we don't see
On the occasion of today's German Diversity Day 2026 with the motto "When diversity wins, we all win" and the upcoming Pride Month in June, we are pleased to announce the theme of this year's Diversity Days at TUD: "What we don't see: Invisible Realities on Campus".
This year's Diversity Days will take place at TUD from November 2 to 6, 2026. Under the motto "What we don't see: Invisible realities on campus", the focus will be on topics that often remain hidden and yet shape the everyday lives of many people at the university.
Whether invisible disabilities, chronic illnesses, care responsibilities, psychological violence, financial insecurity or discrimination - the variety of invisible realities is huge. The aim of the event is to make these topics comprehensible, create space for exchange and promote understanding.
The Diversity Days invite all members of the university (students, employees, Faculty Student Councils and university groups) to play an active role in shaping the program. Whether through workshops, lectures, discussion rounds, creative hands-on activities or other formats: Every idea counts and helps to make the invisible realities on campus more tangible.
How can you take part?
Entries can be submitted until July 31, 2026. The following information is required:
- Title of the event,
- Event format (e.g. workshop, lecture, hands-on activity),
- short description (max. 300 words),
- Place, date and time (in the period November 2-6, 2026),
- Information on whether the event can also be held in English.
Please plan contributions as barrier-free as possible so that all interested parties can participate.
Why take part?
The Diversity Days offer a platform to make challenges that affect many people more visible. They create space for exchange and a change of perspective and show that there are real stories, challenges and needs behind the supposedly invisible realities. Together, we can raise awareness of these issues and make the campus a place that values and supports diversity.
