Global Health Initiative Spring School Dresden 2026
The Department of General Medicine at the Medical Faculty of TU Dresden, together with the Chair of Public Health (ZEGV) and the Institute of Political Science, is organising the interdisciplinary ‘Global Health Initiative Spring School’ for the fourth time in March 2026. The one-week event will take place during the lecture-free period from: 23 to 27 March 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day at the Carl Gustav Carus Medical Faculty of TU Dresden.
The Spring School will address topics such as the impact of social health factors on well-being and the role of health systems in dealing with local and global challenges such as climate change, migration and conflicts. In lectures and workshops, lecturers from international and interdisciplinary fields will share their knowledge, including representatives from organisations such as the Robert Koch Institute, Doctors Without Borders, the WHO, GIZ, the Dresden Health Authority and Health for Future Dresden.
The Global Health Initiative Spring School is open to all students at TU Dresden and promotes interprofessional and interdisciplinary learning. The aim is to develop a deep understanding of global health, including social determinants, primary care and public health services, and comparisons of international health systems.
The Spring School will be held in English.
