technical platforms
The technical platforms at the Institute of Anatomy encompass the four principle domains of expertise of our scientists and technical staff apply when investigating the CNS in health and disease.
Proteomics and Molecular Biology
The technical platform Proteomics and Molecular Biology supports the neurobiological research focus at the Institute of Anatomy with numerous modern methods for vector cloning, protein production and protein analysis.
Cells and Viruses
We cultivate and analyze different cell types with a focus on neurobiological research. For the induced genetic modification of cells, we produce different viruses that can be used both in vitro and in vivo.
Histology
Our platform uses modern histological methods to image molecules and cells in tissue, thereby supporting scientists in the study of brain tumors, neurodevelopment and neurodegeneration.
In Vivo
Our "in vivo" technical platform provides researchers with multiple genetic models to facilitate analyses in areas such as glioma, embryonic and adult neurogenesis, and neurological diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
