6th International Summer School on Technology Transfer in Life Sciences
To develop a full-fledged business concept out of an idea is not as easy as it sounds, but especially in Biotechnologies the market has been booming for the last few years and continues to do so. New technologies, modern equipment and devices as well as appealing market regulations attract scientists and other interested parties worldwide.
Last week, 24 participants and lecturers from all over the world travelled to Dresden to take part in the 6th International Summer School on Technology Transfer in Life Science. Experts gave lectures about business start-ups, licensing and patent registration of technologies. The workshops mainly focused on the practical implementation rather than on the theory: The participants worked on a business model for the realisation of their respective ideas and gave a mock-pitch in front of an expert panel, consisting of nine experts from different areas of expertise, who put the inventions to the acid test.
The 7th International Summer School on Technology Transfer in Life Sciences is already planned. For more information, please see www.summerschool-dresden.de.
