Henriette Herz Scouting Programme
By introducing the Henriette Herz Scouting Programme, the Humboldt Foundation is opening up a new way of accessing the Humboldt Research Fellowship in parallel with the standard application procedure. Aim of the programme it to give selected hosts the chance to recruit suitable candidates from abroad as Humboldt Research Fellows in a direct award procedure. Irrespectively of being an internationally renowned academic, professor or head of a research group, you can apply to become a scout in the Henriette Herz Scouting Programme. For the application the scout has to hand in a letter of recommendation, in which you make a convincing case for your choice, and a brief outline of the planned research work. Once you have been selected as a Scout you will have the opportunity to recommend up to three outstanding international junior researcher with whom you would like to cooperate for a Humboldt Research Fellowship. If a recommendation is approved by Humboldt head office, the fellowship is being granted in the framework of the Humboldt Research Fellowship Programme. With your knowledge, connections and commitment talented international scientists can be recruited for Germany and your own institute.
