Episode 27: Tools of Science - Innovations in science and their benefits for society
Our podcast series YOU ASK we explain - Berührungsängste in der Medizin started in 2023 and is published monthly. In our 27th episode, entitled "Tools of Science" , we join Prof. Thomas Südhof, Dr. Peter Plaßmeyer, Dr. Nora Herzog and Dr. Magdalena Wekenborg on an exciting journey through the scientific instruments of past eras and their significance for science today in the Mathematisch-Physikalischer Salon of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (Dresden State Art Collections).
We wanted to discuss with you and answer your questions. How do we do research and why? What remains of the ideas? How do we change our understanding? And what does this mean for society? What challenges and opportunities are there for the next generation of researchers? Are we looking for and finding interdisciplinary approaches to solving global challenges?
