Summer School of the MII junior research groups

Dr. Brita Sedmayr und die Teilnehmenden aus den Nachwuchsforschungsgruppen der MII/ Dr. Brita Sedmayr and the participants from the MII's junior research groups
This year's Summer School of the MII Junior Research Groups (NWG) took place in the picturesque Renthof in Kassel on June 23/24, 2025 in bright sunshine.
The event provided the ideal setting for young scientists to engage in interdisciplinary exchange. The spectrum of topics was diverse and ranged from reports on networking and topic-specific breakout sessions to practical discussions on research funding and clinically relevant AI solutions.
Challenges in the development of machine learning models and the use of medical terminology were discussed intensively in parallel working groups.
The second day was specifically dedicated to the topics of research applications and the needs of clinics in the context of AI and NLP. The focus here was on practical applications and real impact.
The program was rounded off with lunch together and a social get-together with a bar quiz. Everyone took the goal of networking to heart, so that the NWG AIRON, CDS2USE, MeDax, TOP and IMPETUS were able to enjoy fame, honor and sweets.
The Summer School in Kassel turned out to be a lively event full of professional impulses and constructive exchange. We would like to thank all participants for the great interaction and their dedicated contributions to the event!
