Tasks
The Policlinic's focus is the investigation and clarification of work-related health disorders. In this context, the Policlinic, together with the research section Clinical Occupational Medicine, conducts research projects (i.e. in the field of infection epidemiology) and participates in research projects of all research sections of the IPAS.
To clarify causes of work-related illness, the Policlinic provides a consultation service for university hospitals and compiles individual case reports. In addition, the Policlinic carries out subsequent precaution measures (for example, with former employees of the uranium ore mining industry or employees with asbestos exposure) and participates in preventive medical care.
The Policlinic offers preregistered outpatient consultations for investigations and counselling on occupational health and environmental toxicology issues.
