About the Speaker:
Kaomei Guan joined TU Dresden in 2015 as Professor for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Pharmacology and Toxicology. Kaomei’s research focuses on the application of patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cells for the establishment of in vitro disease models. By using these models, her group has been studying the underlying molecular and pathophysiological mechanisms for cardiovascular diseases including diabetic cardiomyopathy.
