MSNZ-sponsored "Medicine Morning" bei der Engineering life Konferenz
“Engineering life – from origins to organs” takes place in Dresden from 11.13.9.2019. The bi-annual conference, organized by the B CUBE and the TU Dresden, explores the origins of cellular life, addresses how cells can be build and manipulated, and discusses engineering applications in medicine and cell biology. Scientists from various disciplines enjoy a multifaceted program with unique social events (e.g. steamboat trip, B CUBE BBQ) and presentations by all participants.
At the MSNZ-sponsored "Medicine Morning" session on Friday, September 13, Prof. Matthias Hebrok, Professor in Diabetes Research at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and a world-leader in translational medicine will present a talk on "Building human islets from stem cells". The “Medicine morning” session also includes PD Dr. Daniel Stange, senior physician and head of the surgical research laboratory at the University Hospital Dresden presenting "Organoids for disease modelling in gastrointestinal cancer" and the MSNZ fellowsDr. Anke Fuchs und Dr. Jovan Mircetic.
We are very much looking forward to see lively meeting of basic and clinical sciences!
