THE INSTITUTE

THE INSTITUTE OF PHYSIOLOGY
Physiology is an experimental and theoretical fundamental science of medicine, which aims to explain the functions of life - from the single molecule to the whole organism.

As an academic institute, we represent the subject of physiology in teaching and research.
The tasks in teaching cover the entire physiology of man. The staff members of the institute perform extensive teaching tasks (lectures, seminars, practical courses) as part of the curricular training for students of medicine, dentistry and midwifery.

The research focus of the institute is in the areas of cardiovascular and metabolic physiology, their interaction and related diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.

More details on teaching and research can be found in the corresponding sections of the Institute's homepage.
