Physiology is an experimental and theoretical fundamental science of medicine, which aims to explain the functions of life - from the single molecule to the whole organism.
As an academic institute, we represent the subject of physiology in education and research.
The tasks in education cover the entire physiology of humans. Our staff members perform extensive teaching tasks (lectures, seminars, practical courses) as part of the curricular training for students of medicine, dentistry and midwifery.
The research focus of the institute is in the areas of cardiovascular and metabolic physiology, their interaction and related diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes.
