30th DZD Workshop Dresden + DZD NEXT Symposium
Table of contents
The next DZD workshop will take place on the 11th and 12th of March 2025 in Dresden and will be organized by Michele Solimena and his team at the PLID. This year's focus is on:
- DZD Multicenter Studies
- Biobanks and technology platforms for translation
- Pipeline for beta cell replacement therapy
- New molecules for diabetes treatment
- Unique Selling Points (USPs) of the DZD
In addition, short presentations and posters will provide an overview of the latest exciting projects and their findings.

Directions to the venue
Arrival by Deutsche Bahn and tram
You will find the tram stop directly in front of Neustadt train station (exit"Schlesischer Platz"). If your train ticket includes a "City" option, you can take the tram or bus free of charge.

- Take line 6 in the direction of "Tolkewitz".
- Get off at the stop "Blasewitzer Straße / Fetscherstraße".
- You can find the footpath from the stop to the venue here.
Arrival by Deutsche Bahn and cab
Take the "Schlesischer Platz" exit at Neustadt train station to get to the cab rank. Depending on traffic, you can reach the venue by cab in around 13 minutes.
Arrival by plane and tram

- From the airport take the S-Bahn line S2 in the direction of "Pirna".
- Get off at the station "Dresden-Neustadt" and take the exit "Schlesischer Platz" to get to the tram stop.
- Take line 6 in the direction of "Tolkewitz" and getoff at the "Blasewitzer Straße / Fetscherstraße" stop.

The journey time is approx. 42 minutes. Please note that the S-Bahn trains between the airport and Dresden-Neustadt run every 30 minutes.
Arrival by plane and cab
The venue is only ten kilometers away from Dresden Airport. Depending on traffic, it will take you about 25 minutes by cab to the CRTD.
