TUD Young Investigator Status for Dr. Uenal Coskun

Dr. Uenal Coskun was appointed TUD Young Investigator of the TU Dresden. With his nomination, he is the 13th scientist who holds this title.

Dr. Coskun is the leader of the gorup "Membrane Biochemistry" at the Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden. Togehter with his team he investigates the effect of lipids on the structure and function of proteins. Dr. Coskun studied Biology at the University of Osnabrück and rececived his PhD in 2005 at the University of the Saarland, Institute of Biophysics. From 2005 to 2012 he worked as a Postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Cell Biology and Genetics in Dresden.

As TUD Young Investigator he is affiliated to the School of Medicine as well as to the School of Science.
