PLID Scientist receives Carl Gustav Carus Förderpreis

The Dresden Stiftung Hochschulmedizin, together with the Research Department of the Faculty of Medicine, once again honors young researchers with the Carl Gustav Carus Förderpreis. Students and graduates who have completed a doctorate with the rating "summa cum laude" or "magna cum laude" can apply for the "Promotion Award for Outstanding Doctorate".

The Dresden University Medicine Foundation has awarded eleven young physicians with the Carl Gustav Carus Förderpreis 2022 for outstanding dissertations and scientific publications. Among the lucky eleven awardees is also a scientist from the Paul Langerhans Institute Dresden. Dr. Marko Barović received the award for his dissertation on "Multi-omics insight into the natural history of Type 2 Diabetes in metabolically profiled pancreatectomized donors" which he completed in the research group of Prof. Dr. Michele Solimena.

The publication prize and the promotional prizes for an outstanding doctorate are each endowed with up to 1,000 Euro and are awarded by the Dresden Hochschulmedizin together with the Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden.
