The Faculty of Medicine at TU Dresden is one of the top locations for university medicine in Germany. Together with the Dresden University Hospital, it combines excellent research, innovative teaching and patient-oriented care.
As one of the youngest medical faculties in Germany, it sets national and international standards with core research areas in oncology, metabolic diseases (especially diabetes) and neurological and mental illnesses, supported by digital technologies. The close cooperation between Dresden University Medicine and leading research institutes such as the Helmholtz Center, Fraunhofer Institutes and the Max Planck Institute has made the location a center of excellent, pioneering and patient-oriented medicine and high-performance research.
Students benefit from a diverse range of courses with innovative teaching in the subjects of medicine, dentistry, public health, midwifery, biomedical engineering and a future-oriented model course in human medicine in Chemnitz.
