Research-based learning with animals!
In biology classes, the focus is on life - in all its facets. To ensure that this subject is not just theoretical, but can also be experienced, learning should be lively, vivid and close to nature. The use of live animals in particular makes it possible to convey subject content in a sustainable way and promote important skills.
In order to upport (prospective) teachers in making their lessons practical and lively the "petZ" was set up at the Chair as a testing ground for teaching and learning.
Here:
- School classes can learn about selected animals and topics through scientific research
- teacher training students can design, test and reflect on lively lessons
