Studies with degree at the TU Dresden

The International Office of the TU Dresden not only advises international students during their studies, but also helps them before they apply. Furthermore, they answer questions about study requirements and conditions as well as general questions about life in Germany. - Advice & Service: Faculty of Biology
The subject representatives and the student council of the Faculty of Biology will competently deal with your questions or forward them to the appropriate office for processing.
The Student Office & Examination Offices of the School of Science provides advice on all questions concerning study and examination regulations, modules, courses, and examinations.
Study within the framework of an exchange stay
Students who would like to study at the Faculty of Biology of the TU Dresden for 1-2 semesters within the framework of the ERASMUS+ program or via other exchange programs (ISAP, DAAD, etc.) will find all information on how to apply and prepare for the study visit here.

Organizational matters and application
for the summer semester (start of studies on April 1): by January 15
for the winter semester (start of studies on October 1): by June 15
The contact persons of the Faculty of Biology and the International Office of the TU Dresden will be happy to assist you:
- Advice on the respective study project
- Help with the selection of courses and the preparation of the timetable
- Signing of the Learning Agreement
- Information on the procedure for registering for examinations in the faculty
- Information on the preparation of the Transcript of Records and, if necessary, its issuance.
The lectures, seminars and exercises are mainly held in German. Therefore, for successful participation in courses, at least intermediate level knowledge (B1) in German is required.
Proof of German language skills for study projects in German-language programs must be submitted with the application documents.
Before the beginning of the semester you have the possibility to participate in an intensive German course. The language courses are conducted by the language school of TUDIAS. Information about the courses offered, dates and costs can be found on the homepage of TUDIAS.
The Faculty of Biology also offers Master's programs in English. In addition, project or study work can be written in English by prior arrangement. Proof of English B1/B2 proficiency for study projects in English must be submitted with the application documents.

At the end of the study visit, you list the achievements in the Transcript of Records form and have it signed by the Biology Faculty.
Please note: Each student must take the Transcript of Records with him/herself! The Technische Universität Dresden does NOT automatically send it to the home university. If the examination results have not been completed by the time of your departure, please arrange with the responsible office where the Transcript of Records should be sent.

The contact person is the LEONARDO-BÜRO SACHSEN. The office arranges scholarships for internships abroad, supervises internship programs and supports or receives international students who want to complete an internship at the Technische Universität Dresden, DRESDEN concept related institutions or in Saxon industry.
