A Precursor-derived Ultramicroporous Carbon for Printing Iontronic Logic Gates and Super-Varactors
We present a novel 3D printed in-plane capacitive analogue of semiconductor-based diodes (CAPode) based on the selective ion-sieving effect depending on the ion size. Two printing techniques together with suitable and fine-tuned inks are explored to fabricate different interdigital electrode structures: one ultramicroporous and mesoporous carbon. The miniaturized devices are successfully utilized in logic gates operations (‘AND’, ‘OR’) and for the first time tested as variable capacitor in a high-pass filter application.
