New paper in Angewandte Chemie International Edition

Capacitive analogues of semiconductor diodes (CAPodes) present a new avenue for energy-efficient and nature-inspired next-generation computing devices.  Here, bias-direction-adjustable n- and p-CAPodes based on selective ion sieving are designed providing a generalized concept, resulting in a novel CAPode  system  with a high rectification ratio  (RRII,  96.29%) and an integrated device in gate circuits to implement logic operations  (‘OR’,‘AND’). This work provides  a  comprehensive understanding and highlights applications of ion-based diodes in ionologic architectures.
