Li Feng, Carbon based materials for electrochemical energy conversion and storage

In recent years, electrochemical energy devices (mainly supercapacitor, lithium ion battery and lithium sulfur battery) have been extensively explored for electrochemical energy conversion and storage in response to the ever-increasing demand for clean energy and climate change mitigation technologies. Carbon materials play a key role in this field, which can use the electrode materials, conductive networks, coating layers and its hybrid materials. A brief introduction of our work will be given in this talk. I demonstrate the nanocarbon, including porous carbon, carbon nanotubes, graphene-based materials for the electrochemical energy conversion and storage, such as lithium sulfur battery, electrochemical process for electrochemical double layer capacitor and wide temperature lithium ion battery.
Dr. Feng LI is a professor of the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMR, CAS). He received his Ph.D. in materials science at IMR, CAS (2001). His main research focuses on the nano materials for electrochemical energy storage and conversion. He has published about 250 papers on peer-reviewed journals such as Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., with more 30000 citations and H-index about 85. He was listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Thomson Reuters in 2017-18 (in Chemistry and Materials Science). He is editor board of NEW CARBON MATERIALS, Journal of Energy Chemistry and Energy Material Storage.
