Development of procedure for the preparation of metal oxide coatings for transparent conductive polymer foils in order to replace indium tin oxide
Duration: May 2012 - April 2015
The aims of the project are the development of new technologies for the preparation of transparent conductive oxides (TCO) on polymer foils. Up to now only composite materials based on indium tin oxide (ITO) in industrial applications are known. The new composite material should replace the ITO coated polymers in areas such as touch screens, electroluminescence devices and thin film solar cells. As a consequence the dependence of the expensive indium should be reduced.
