New Publication - Polycyclic Tetramate Macrolactams as Hot Paper in Angewandte Chemie

Have a look at this new publication about Expanding Polycyclic Tetramate Macrolactam (PoTeM) Core Structure Diversity by Chemo-Enzymatic Synthesis and Bioengineering in Angewandte Chemie. This work is about modifying the PoTeM core structure by engineering the adenylation domain resulting in a recombinant bacterial homo-ikarugamycin producer. It establishes an entirely new PoTeM structural framework and sets the stage for the biotechnological diversification of the PoTeM natural product class in general.
