The Faculty of Chemistry and Food chemistry offers its IT-services throughout the faculty. The administrator of the respective chair is the main contact for all relevant questions and problems. Under the direction of the IT coordinator, the administrators form virtual service-teams, focussing on competencies like:
- network structure and network technology
- supervision of computer pools and practical training on computers
- Linux and server hardware
- identity management
- imaging and software distribution
- groupware and shared mailboxes
- electronic locking systems
- IT security
