Locking system
With the construction of the new building for chemistry institutes in 2001, the electronic locking system was installed. In doing so, the faculty could guide the development of the product from the outset and now could fall back on the corresponding experience.
The locking authorization for the new buildings of the chemistry institutes part 1 and 2 as well as for the Walther-Hempel-Bau are managed in the shared database. The local officials for the locking system sections serve as first contacts for access rights, and they are capable of programming the locking systems independently within their share of responsibility.

Malfunctions must be reported to Department 4, where a decision is made as to whether the repair or battery replacement can be carried out by colleagues there or whether the maintenance company must be commissioned.
