WORK BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Ali Shaygan Nia received his B.Sc in Chemical Engineering (Polymer Technology) from Isfahan University of Technology (Iran) and obtained his Master and PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (Germany). He received his PhD with the highest honor (summa cum laude) in June 2016 on the topic of “graphene based catalyst for self-healing polymer composites” and joined Prof. Feng’s group as a PostDoc in Technical University of Dresden from July 2016. During his PostDoc, he gained excellent experiences in exfoliation of 2D materials and industrialization of graphene based materials especially conductive inks and
polymer composites.

RESEARCH INTERESTS
His current research focuses are on innovation in energy devices (e.g. batteries and supercapacitors) and 2D materials in electronics. He is well connected to the international research and technology environments, due to working on several industrial and application oriented projects (in direction of electronics and energy storage). He also exhibits a broad experience in both academic and applied research, evidenced by patents, patent applications and scientific publications.
