Ideas, Impact, and Inspiration: A Week among Nobel Laureates
Anupam Prasoon Participates in the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Chemistry, 2025
Anupam Prasoon, a PhD candidate at the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics in Halle and TU Dresden, was selected to participate in the prestigious 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Chemistry, held from 29 June to 4 July 2025 in Lindau, Germany. This year’s meeting convened 33 Nobel Laureates and more than 600 emerging scientists from over 100 countries, fostering a unique platform for intergenerational scientific dialogue.
“It was an incredibly inspiring experience to engage with Nobel Laureates and fellow young scientists from around the globe,” said Prasoon. “The discussions were intellectually enriching and deeply motivating—a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”
Prasoon’s doctoral research centers on two-dimensional polymer and interfacial synthesis, a field that aligns closely with the meeting’s emphasis on innovative and transformative approaches to chemistry.
“The meeting fostered deep scientific discussions, meaningful mentorship, and lasting international collaborations,” Prasoon noted. “It reaffirmed the importance of curiosity-driven research and the collective pursuit of scientific excellence.
Established in 1951, the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings are dedicated to the exchange of knowledge between Nobel Laureates and the next generation of scientists. The 2025 Chemistry Meeting focused on groundbreaking advances and pressing global challenges in the field, encouraging participants to reflect on the broader societal impact of scientific research.
