Symposium on Aqueous Zinc-Ion Battery

On 24 September 2026, TU Dresden hosted the one-day symposium “Aqueous Zinc-Ion Batteries”, bringing together researchers and industry partners to exchange ideas, share recent advances, and foster collaboration in this promising sustainable battery technology. The symposium was co-organized by Dr. Ali Shaygan Nia from the Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics, Dr. Minghao Yu from Technische Universität Dresden, and Dr. Yujie Yao from Elbe Cell Technology GmbH.

The scientific programme featured inspiring lectures from 13 invited speakers representing 10 countries across Europe, Asia, and North America. The presentations covered diverse aspects of emerging aqueous zinc-ion battery technology, highlighting both fundamental research and industrial perspectives. In addition to the scientific presentations, participants had ample opportunities for networking, interactive discussions, and poster sessions. These activities provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and showcasing recent advances in both academic research and industrial development.
