Research

The research of AK Plietker is primarily dedicated to the development of new, sustainable catalysis methods for the construction of complex, biologically active compounds. The focus is on:

  • Ru-based complexes and their application in selective catalysis
  • non-toxic Fe complexes as new catalysts

The methods developed are used in the development of sustainable syntheses of complex natural products. These are characterized by chemoselective, catalytic processes that take place under mild conditions and, due to their high functional tolerance, do not require protective groups.
