Dr. Hoang Khoa Ly

Dr. Khoa Ly studied chemistry and physics at the Technical University of Berlin, where she received her PhD with summa cum laude in October 2012 from the Chair of Biophysical Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter Hildebrandt. In his dissertation, Dr. Ly investigated biological electron transfer processes at biomimetic interfaces using surface enhanced vibrational spectroscopy in combination with electrochemistry.

During his postdoctoral research stays at the Technical University Berlin (Prof. Dr. Inez Weidinger), the Vrjie University Amsterdam (Dr. Diego Millo) and Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow at the University of Cambridge (Prof. Dr. Erwin Reisner), Dr. Ly successfully expanded the application of these methods to the study of heterogeneous molecular and heterogeneous catalysts for chemical energy conversion.
