Our publication reports on a new electrocatalyst for use in CO₂ reduction. Effective electrocatalysts for CO₂ reduction can make an important contribution to climate protection by avoiding CO₂ emissions directly in industrial processes, for example.
The electrocatalyst used was a conjugated, metal-organic framework compound (2d c-MOF) with bimetallic centers of copper and zinc. SEIRA spectro-electrochemical investigations show the effectiveness of the electrocatalyst and provide insights into the reduction reaction process.
