Guest Lecture: Dr. Jan Wilhelm

The Collaborative Research Centre 1415 is pleased to host Dr. Jan Wilhelm, Universität Regensburg. Within the frame of his scientific guest lecture „Towards Real-Time Simulations of Ultrafast Electron Dynamics with Atomic Resolution“, scheduled November 28, 2024, he presented a low-scaling GW algorithm for 2D materials that potentially allows for the inclusion of more than a thousand atoms in the simulation. Additionally, he presented GW benchmark calculations and outlined its generalization to BSE and time-dependent variants for the study of exciton dynamics.
