Guest Lecture: Prof. Dr. Federico Rosei

The Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1415 is delighted to welcome Prof. Dr. Federico Rosei, University of Trieste. His excellent guest lecture „Energy Challenges from a Materials Perspective“, highlighted cutting-edge solar energy technologies from a materials science perspective. Particularly, it explores the role of advanced, multifunctional nanostructured materials—produced via bottom-up methods—in creating next-generation, low-cost, and energy-efficient devices. His key topics include third-generation photovoltaics, solar hydrogen production, luminescent solar concentrators, and other optoelectronic innovations, with a focus on the critical raw materials driving these advancements.
