Guest Lecture Prof. Dr. Steve Erwin

The Collaborative Research Center (SFB) 1415 welcomes Prof. Dr. Steve Erwin, Naval Research Laboratory, Washington DC, as guest speaker in the monthly CRC seminar. In his talk "The Trouble with Ligands”, he proposed and explored a physically transparent approach to modeling steric hindrance in ligands binding to nanocrystalline materials. He also explained that, as it is a first such model, it is necessarily incomplete and he is entirely open to suggestions for improvement and extension.
