Start-up Funding 2021: Dr. Dorothea Golze
The Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1415 awards Dr. Dorothea Golze, Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University, Finland, with the Start-up Funding 2021.
By offering the 9-months Start-up Funding 2021, the CRC 1415 aims to support and promote the career of an excellent young female scientific researchers in academia, which gives her the chance to develop her independency by working on a own project not covered by the running projects and to focus on the preparation of individual first-time proposals. The project ist expected to start in summer 2021.
Dr. Dorothea Golze is a computational chemist, focusing on the development of electronic structure method for supercomputing platforms. From 2006 to 2011 she studied chemistry at the Universität Leipzig before moving to Universität Zurich, Switzerland, for graduation with a PhD in theoretical chemistry. In 2016 she became a member of the group of Prof. Patrick Rinke at the Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University, Finland. Besides that, Dr. Dorothea Golze is a developer of the electronic structure packages CP2K and FHI-aims.
