CRC 1415 General Assembly
The members of the Collaborative Research Center (CRC) 1415 met on December 15 in order to celebrate their second plenary meeting in 2022. Besides inspiring discussions on cross-project research topics as well as organizational matters, the CRC 1415 hosted the young scientist Dr. Ilka Hermes, Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e.V., as guest speaker. Within the frame of her talk on the topic of "Electrical Properties of Graphene and other 2D Materials on the Nanoscale", Dr. Hermes presented an advanced Kelvin Probe Force Microscopy (KPFM) and µRaman study that resolves local surface potential and conductivity with a nanometer resolution and directly relates this information to the materials surface structure. The plenary session was completed by a get-together, which provided a convivial finale for all event participants.
We thank Dr. Ilka Hermes for an exciting lecture and all members of the CRC 1415 for coming. Furthermore, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
