Welcome at the Chair of Functional Analysis

Functional analysis is the analysis on finite- and infinite-dimensional vector spaces (Banach spaces, Hilbert spaces, topological vector spaces) and the analysis of linear and nonlinear operators between these spaces.

My research interest is the theory of linear and nonlinear evolution equations in Banach spaces, their associated semigroups and their qualitative behaviour (long-time behaviour, regularity, approximation). Besides operator theory and the theory of Banach spaces, this area of research touches the fields of harmonic analysis, complex analysis and a great bit of the theory of partial differential equations.
