Das n-Städte-Seminar wird von Mathematikern der Universitäten Chemnitz, Dresden, Freiberg und Leipzig organisiert (derzeit Swanhild Bernstein, Ralph Chill, Tatjana Eisner, Peter Stollmann und Ivan Veselic) und widmet sich unter anderem folgenden Themenbereichen.
