Information on oral examinations and writing academic theses in Mathematics Education
Registration for the oral examinations takes place online via the Centralized Examination Office. At the end of the lecture period, admission is checked on the basis of the preliminary examination results.
At the end of each semester, the Chair of Mathematics Education holds an examination consultation. There you will receive all the information about the examination content and the timetable.
The 1st state examination is conducted by the Dresden Regional Office for Schools and Education (LaSuB). Further information can be found here.
Current information on examination dates and consultation offers can be found on the Chair's homepage under News and in the Mathematics Education display case (WIL first floor).
In principle, it is possible to write your academic thesis (state examination thesis) at the Chair of Mathematics Education. Please refer to our handout on writing academic papers in mathematics education and contact us or send us an e-mail if you are interested. Possible topics are didactic papers, e.g. on stochastics or problem-based learning, or practical papers as part of student project weeks. In addition, work on the topic of "Extracurricular learning locations" is also awarded in cooperation with Erlebnisland Mathematik. Find out more about the Chair's core research areas.
