TransCampus School on Optimal Transport
This miniseries designed for graduate students provides an insight to the optimal transport problem and some of its applications.
Talks and Schedule: All times are in CET.
November 24th, 3.00 to 5.30 P.M. |
Marcel Nutz (Columbia): Primer on Optimal Transport |
This tutorial introduces the optimal transport problem and some of its fundamental mathematical results: existence of optimal transports, geometric characterization, dual problem, Wasserstein distances, etc. | |
December 1st, 3.00 to 5.30 P.M. | Bodhisattva Sen (Columbia): Statistical Theory of Optimal Transport |
I will introduce the problem of optimal transport with a focus on statistical estimation of the optimal transport map from i.i.d. data. |
|
December 15th, 2.00 to 4.30 P.M. | Beatrice Acciaio (ETH Zurich): Adapted transport distances and applications in mathematical finance |
In this tutorial, I will introduce adapted versions of optimal transport distances and will review some of their applications in mathematical finance, from classical stochastic optimization problems to machine learning approaches. |
Access: All talks will be distributed via zoom. Participation is free and open to everybody. In case you are interested, please send an email to to register and receive the login details for the zoom sessions.
